About ReserveMySlip.Com

Reservemyslip.Com is an online boat slip reservation system designed for communities that have lake, river, or shoreline access with community docks. With this system a community can easily schedule overnight access to the docks for extended periods of time.

The system administrator can change the reservation parameters to limit the duration of a reservation and the period that reservations can be made. The demo site limits users to a maximum of a five-night reservation. The demo account also only allows reservations to be made two weeks out from today's date.

The purpose of these restrictions is to provide a system that will fairly allocate community resources to all members of the community.

When a system is configured for a new client, you can choose between open and closed registration.

Open registration allows any person with access to the website the ability to create their own username and password. After doing so, they have full access to the reservation system.
Closed registration means that a user will need to email a community contact and request access to the system. With this method you can restrict the access based on any community rules that you have established. You could for instance require a community member to own a boat before they could request access to overnight mooring at the community docks.

This system only stores the following information:

UserID (normally the first character of your first name and your complete last name)

Password (this data is stored in an encrypted format)

User contact phone (Optional, normally a cell phone)

User email (Optional, for email confirmation of a reservation)

No other personal information is stored in this system. When a new user is created the personal contact information is omitted. The first time you log into the system you can go to the user profile section and add this information. Note: ReserveMySlip.Com will strive to keep this information safe although we are not liable if an information breach is discovered. By adding your contact information, you acknowledge your acceptance of these terms and conditions.
